Camilla looked around the streets of Rome she couldn't believe that she could not find one person that needed her today. She sighed as she looked for a safe alley to sleep in hoping that she would not be bugged by idiots that wanted nothing but her body, she hated these nights she hated living like this, she went from having the world to having nothing when the Saxon's came in her home to robs them and her father refused. She hated them but what could she do she was only sixteen years old alone and no weapons to protect herself she didn't even like fighting.
Looking at the sky she sighed the sun was going down soon she had to find a place to stay, walking over to a wall she started to play with the only thing she had left of her mother and that was her mothers diamond wedding ring. She knew it would sell for a lot of money but she refused to sell it it was the one thing she was not ready to give up. Suddenly a wealthy woman came up to her and grabbed her.
Camilla screamed as she was pulled into the street "Let me go, I didn't do anything!" she yelled as the woman tossed her on the ground and pulled Camilla's mother's wedding ring off her finger. "She stole my ring! take her away" the lady yelled. Cami was in shock and holding her hand that was bleeding. "That's not yours its my mothers give it back please" she cried out but the screaming lady was doing. Suddenly a man grabbed her and Camilla screamed in pain and fear "Please its mine I swear its mine let me go." Camilla started to cry no one was going to believe her she was a homeless person and all of the normal ones were thieves and murders no one was going to believe she was good and kind.
"Help! Someone help!" she cried out as the man hit her to shut her up the family was going to take care of her and all they were doing was stealing from a orphan.

Hector was off duty. It would be a short time before he'd be leading his troops to the north passage of Briton. The damn Saxons were at it again. After his meeting with Aurelia he was in a mood that no one could break him out of. They had all lost something to the Saxons. A family friend had been killed by the damned heathens and he had no clue where their daughter had gotten either carried away too or left. He knew she wasn't dead least part of him was sure she wasn't. So now that he was off duty he let his mind wanders as he walked the streets. The men he was taking were saying goodbye to their wives and children if they had any. He was going to bring the back alive. He hated having to come home and tell someone that their husband or even that their brother was dead.
He was commander and he tried to keep his men alive as best he could. It didn't always work but that was what made him a bit uncoth in the way that he ran the Roman Army. He was influenced greatly by Arthur and though he knew most of Arthur's Knights did not believe in their god he knew some of his men didn't either. It was interesting how much loyalty you got when you treated those under you with respect and as if they were valued because each life was just that. He looked up as he heard a scream coming from a distance. He was running before her ever realized it. He knew someone was in trouble and be it a noble or a orphan or the homeless he was obligated to help them.
He came upon the group and without a moments hesitation caught the man upside the head making him let go of the girl and cutting the woman's hand off with one quick slash catching something that fell out of the hand looking at it before turning to the third person and nearly dropping his sword. "Camilla." His voice was soft as he extended his hand with the ring in it and to help her up. The other two scurried away not wanting to deal with a pissed off Roman Soldier. "Camilla sweet young lady what had they done to you?" He shook his head not in pity for her but disgust with him for not finding him sooner. [/center]

Camilla closed in her eyes in shock her idle calls for help and her screams for mercy were not being heard. The hand around her tightened as she struggled to get away she would miss her mothers ring but her life was more important then the ring her mother would understand. "Keep the ring please just let me go" she begged as she was turned around and pushed. Falling to the ground she turned on her back and looked up. It was a soilder and now she knew that she was going to be taken away and locked up for not doing anything wrong she was innocent.
Looking down as the woman's hand fell next to her she blinked as a little fear flushed though her she never had seen anything like this not ever when her family was attacked by the saxon's god she hated those man. Hearing her name she instantly looked up again in shock no one knew her real name she never spoke it and everyone she helped for money she went by a different name. He was standing in the sun so she was having a hard time seeing him, but she noticed he was holding her mother's ring.
"Thank you Sir" she said as she took the ring out of his hand then accepted his help up, now that she was standing she could see him better "Sir Hector?" she asked in surprised she hadn't seen him in a year and she was surprised that he remembered her. Looking at the ground she stared at the ring in her hand "Well Sir, it's been a really tough year I had to sell everything I had left just to get food in my stomach then those to con artists came and tried to take Mama's ring" she explained feeling down and the fact that she lost all respect. "You don't need to call me Lady anymore I am no longer noble" she said with tears in her eyes.
"It was good to see you I must be going if I don't get back to the alley I might lose my safe sleeping spot. Thank you so much for saving me"
