Let's just say that this particular day in which many would be busy doing their usual daily routine, but just something about this particular seem rather ...well ordinary for once. This could be seen on nearly every child except Sir Bors' eleven wild children, who found everything from throwing stones to fighting with other children. Only one child of that of a sad, but almost neglected young girl could be seen riding away from the city to the southern part of the wall. Nineve sterned her horse Avalona out of the way of the workers and their family that were dotted along the pathway. She knew that Sir Gawain was her father, but when she arrived he was shocked to find out about her and why she was here. At first it wasn't a story to be told over like a tongue to tongue legend.
She kept her eyes forward none the less just thinking about everything yet to come. Yet she was the only child in Hadrain's Wall that didn't really mingled with the others nor did she have any friends for that matter. Nineve was glad that her father accepted the fact that she had no where else to go and was left by a string of tragic deaths. Nineve was happy to finally find her father, but something wasn't right. She felt it somehow not long after the Princess's fourth birthday that something was amidst.
As she grew near to her target which was Badon Hill she pulled out her bow and arrow to practice her process of becoming a warrior for the King, but she was still too young according to her father. She couldn't argue with his words. Taking aim she closed her eyes and remained calm with her beloved horse's still movements underneath her. She took aim and let go. She only wanted to end this ordinary day around her.

Grabbing the hilt of Excalibur, Arthur slid the sword into its sheath, walking out of him sleeping quarters. He made his way down the corridor, gazing at the servants that worked in the castle. As he turned the corner, he smiled as the sun slid in front of the clouds. Arthur turned his gaze to Remus, a young fellow who worked with the horses. "Fetch Andaleh, I'll get the saddle." He turned on his heel, walking towards the stable and into a small room where his tack was located. Grabbing a saddle and a bridle, Arthur turned and walked over to his mount.
After saddling Andaleh, Arthur mounted the stud, urging him into a soft canter. The stud has been with him threw times of need, he had been by his side during the Battle of Badon Hill, yes there were other goods horses, but none like Andaleh. Arthur gave the horse a quick pat, as it made it's way up Badon Hill. There was another horse, and a girl, she looked like Nineve. Arthur dismounted Andaleh, and walked over to the girl.
Yes, it was Nineve, a daughter of Gawain. He gazed at her, the child had her eyes closed. "You, know, you can aim better with your eyes open. I find it helpful." Arthur smiled slightly, standing in front of Nineve's horse. He had a feeling that that would be Helena up there one day. "Why are you up here alone? Isn't there somebody that can help with your training?

For once Nineve didn't hear anything, but silence around her. It was something that she like and yet it made her more calm and more focused on her work. Many people would call it stupid enough for an archer to shoot with their eyes closed, but she found it more helpful to her. Everyone would disapprove of her actions and yet she focused more on her senses on where to shoot. She looked calm before she left go of the arrow hearing it fly off with speed of that of a hummingbird's wings. It was only thereafter when she heard a voice break the silence. At first the voice was rather unfamiliar and so faraway from her, but she slowly came back to the world still hearing the voice. She blinked.
King Arthur. The one person, who was too busy with his knights and his own family to be riding about. None the less with the Saxons now somewhere plotting their next move. Nineve bowed her head in respect for him since he was their King and of higher rank. "I tried that your majesty, but I trust my senses when I shoot. It's odd for a archer to do what I did." she said choosing her words every carefully before the King. She could say the wrong word and her father would come after her. So she made sure that the words that she said was true.
"I wanted to get out. I hate being behind walls all the time with nothing to do." Nineve said speaking in the honest truth. There had been so many days that had gone by that she was being painted into the wall life and growing up in Wales and Cornwall made life at the moment rather difficult for her. "No, My father helped me, then someone else, until no one did. I think my father is off with Sir Galahad somewhere."

Arthur gazed at Nineve with kind eyes, taken aback as she called him 'majesty'. He didn't want people to call him, majesty, but many did no matter what. "You have no need to look down, Nineve." He placed his hands over his eyes, shielding them from the sunlight. "Maybe Lady Marina can help you train? It does you no good to train by yourself. It goes by alot faster with somebody else." Arthur said softly.
He gave a short whistle, and smiled as Andaleh came trotting up to his side. Arthur slid his foot into the stirrup, and swung his other leg across, situating himself in the saddle. "Come, let's take a ride." He said, squeezing Andaleh's side, taking him into a graceful trot. Arthur adjusted the reign's, as he directed Andaleh to the very top of Badon Hill. "May I ask you one thing? Why do you wish to be a warrior?"
ooc; Sorry, ran out of muse.

Nineve saw that when she called him "your majesty" he did flinch a little. She grew up to respect lords and ladies by their titles. Her grandmother had taught her so many times that it just stuck with her. "My grandmother taught me so. I have to respect people, who have a greater title than myself." she replied refining to say "your majesty" to him again. "I do not know of her nor her treachery. " Nineve place her bow back into the leather strap behind her,"I taught myself how to ride Avalona and how learn the basic steps of warriorship."
Nineve heard a short whistle and a few seconds later a horse came totting up to him. It was remarkable to see a horse be so obedient, but where she came from whistles was for sheep dogs not horses. Nineve still had a lot to learn about the Up Country. Nineve nodded at his reply not knowing a real good reply towards him. She gently kicked her horse into a trot to follow the King. "Of course." she replied once the reached the top of Badon Hill finally knowing what it felt like for the knights up here during the Saxon battle. "I would like to protect people, who can't defend for themselves. I promised myself that it would be hard road, but I just have to work hard to become one. I promised my mother as well." Nineve replied starting with a most approving tone, but at the end it turned into a unfortunate tone. She knew that he would get the clue that her mother was died and so was her grandmother.

Arthur gently pulled back on the reigns, bring Andaleh to a complete stop, at the highest point of Badon Hill. Gazing around at the wall, and the city's, it brought back painful memory's. He had almost lost Lancelot and Tristan here, yet he had killed Cerdic of Wessex. Arthur reigned Andaleh into a short circle, so that he was facing Nineve. "Sir Gawain is the only person you have left, isn't he?" He asked, his voice lowering softly.
His thoughts went back to his dear mother; Aerona. He didn't really know his father, except for the fact he had been the Commander of the Sarmartian Army, as he is today. "War, and battle is not all that you think it is. There were days I had my regrets, but now, I'm proud. I'm proud to create a safe refuge for those who needs it, and to see Great Britain prosper." Arthur looked at the training grounds; there were many situated down there, practicing there archery and swordsmanship.
Arthur gave Andaleh some slack in the reigns, so that he could lower his crania and graze. "What your father, Gawain, think about this?? He asked, turning his gaze back onto Nineve.
ooc; still waking up.

"Yes, my mother Argante was captured and killed by the Scottish when I was two and I left for Cornwall to live with my grandmother and she died not to long ago. I still fear that my father is still getting used to me." she said summarizing the best way to describe her life in the past years. Even now she missed her mother terribly and yet her father kinda ignored her present in the household. She often fear that he would give her up to someone else, but he hadn't yet so Nineve was still thankful.
"I hear everyone talk about how hard it is." She said for probably the millionth time now, but she never show what she felt. "I'm glad to be here even though I wasn't born in this country, but every ruler needs to be aware that peace could be covering up something terrible as my grandmother Igriane put it." Nineve said still having that feeling that something was amidst over this now peaceful country. Her eyes did look at the training camp, but no one was her friend nor did they want to talk to her. So she started training herself instead.
"He doesn't think about it much. He just nodded and walks off." Nineve replied remembering the time she told her father that she wanted to become a warrior. All he did was a nod to the head and got up to go out into the streets. "I wish he would of said something, but he didn't." she said meeting his gaze for a moment before turning them away.

Arthur glanced up, as Remus came scrambling up the hill. "Remus? " Remus bowed deeply, in respect and rose back up, standing straight. "A group of Roman noble have arrived, and I believe the heir to the throne, Aurelia, has arrived with them. Shall I tell them you will meet with them later?" Smiling, Arthur glanced at Nineve, and back to Remus. "Galahad should be glad to see her, Remus, tell them I will meet with them after I have taken care of some business." Remus took a step back, gave a small bow, and scrambled back to Hadrian City.
He slid off Andaleh, and sat in the soft grass. "He's probably fearful, I would be if Helena asked to become a warrior. But, she is still small, and doesn't understand the ways of war." Arthur sighed as he thought about previous battles he had fought in, and the Battle of Badon Hill wasn't the last. The Saxon's had been secretive and quiet, occasionally attacking Western Britain, where many did not know how to fight. "I'm sure if you train hard enough, he will approve of your fighting skills. They will be put to use soon, the Saxon's aren't finished." Arthur was ready is they decided to do anything, he had been planning this for the past few months, his gut told him to.

Nineve was just about to add something when a messenger came running up the hill towards them. It was obliviously something that had to be noted for the King. Hearing about a group of Roman nobles arriving made her flinch silently. She had a hate towards them and yet she was glad to not be one of them. Nineve didn't make eye contact with them since it was a matter of buisness and every rude like to interrupt or even make eye contact with official buisness. Her grandmother taught her that.
"I hate to say, but I think he doesn't want anything to do with me." Nineve said following the suit of sitting on the grass. "I mean, it would be strange if a girl like me came up to you one day saying that you were her father. " She noted that in her heart that just maybe her father didn't like the fact that she was his child or maybe that she was "tricking" him by being a spy or something. "I didn't really understand when I was her age either, but I was learning." she said agreeing to his words. It was true she didn't know what was going on with the "disappearance" of her mother and why they made her leave Wales for Cornwall.
"No one has ever approve of my skills. I don't let it get to me cause I know that I will get the approval I need in time...prehaps." she replied somehow hoping for that one time that she would be noted and just maybe her father will learn that she was truly his child.

Arthur listened intently to the child, regarding the part about a child coming up to him, telling him that he was there father. That would be confusing, and it would take some time to get used to. "I don't think that's it. I think he is scared to have anything to do with you, scared that he will run you off, or make you want to run away." He said, thinking about Gawain, before glancing at Nineve. He would probably deal with the situation the same way, but he wouldn't have to worry about that.
Arthur bit his lip, deep in thought. "I believe you will be approved, look at Lady Marina. She's a knight, the only woman knight we have, and she trains just like the others. She was approved." He said bluntly, and glanced up as some trainee's rode around the base, towards Western Britain, patrolling the borders. Arthur glanced up as one of the squires came riding up to them. He stood up, placing his hand right above his brow, shielding his eyes from the sunlight. "Lady Marina reported attacks on the Western city's a few weeks ago, I'm going to patrol borders, so are some of the trainees" He said, looking at Arthur for permission. Arthur nodded, "Ok." and smiled as Andaleh came trotting up to the other horse.
Arthur sighed as the squire stirred up dust, and patted Andaleh on the neck. "You'll be able to run soon enough." He glanced at Nineve's horse, "Your horse, what's her name?" She looked like a war horse; sturdy wise.
