The queen's attention had been focused on the woman riding to the gate when Aly approached her. Startled, Guinevere turned and sharply sucked in a breath. She relaxed only slightly when she recognized Aly. Guinevere had no fear of the woman while standing on top of the wall, but the queen wasn't one hundred percent sure where the woman's loyalties lay.
At the word alone, Guinevere turned towards her husband, intending to tell him she would be back. He seemed well engrossed in his conversation, so Guinevere opted not to interrupt him. Instead, she motioned for Aly to follow her into the stairwell of the wall, where the stone would provide a small measure of privacy. "What is it?" she asked anxiously. The presence of the Saxons made her itch to hold her bow in her hands; the vision of arrows slicing through Saxon armor already playing in her head.

Aly watched as Guinevere turned to speak with her husband, inwardly hoping he was busy with something else. It would make the process so much easier. To her relief, Arthur was busy with the other Knights, no doubt discussing the situation. Following the queen as leisurely as possible after riding for almost three days straight - for it made one quite stiff - she stopped at the stairwell. Allison hesitated for a couple of moments, meeting the queen's eyes as she thought of the best way to tell Guinevere that the Saxons planned to kidnap her daughter. "Please, you must remain calm -" Aly started, breaking off when Arthur and Galahad thundered down the stairs to their horses.
Aly took the moment to lean against the wall, resting. "The Saxon's are not here as a show of power. I have been informed, by a reliable source," By the princess of the Saxon's, to be correct. Aly thought privately, lowering her voice so not to be overheard. "That they plan to kidnap your daughter. We don't have the time to go into an in depth discussion. You mustn't tell Arthur of this, it would only distract him from his duty as King. I've informed Peter of the situation we'll protect her, but we need to know where she is. You can come with us, if you wish, to guard her." Aly said in a quick, crisp voice, as if delivering much happier news. Her blue eyes, however, were deadly serious.
Allison found it a little strange herself, practically giving orders to a Queen. It could be taken as quite offensive, but there wasn't the time to worry about formalities. She watched Guinevere warily, prepared to attempt to stop her if she tried to tell Arthur.

"Please, you must remain calm -"
Guinevere could not imagine a more difficult request to grant that the one Aly asked. Her heart was already thundering in her chest - there was little chance the news Aly would deliver her was good. A hundred scenario's flashed through Guinevere's mind - a second army triple the size lay just beyond this one; this army was intended to divert their attention while the true attack was elsewhere in the kingdom; the Saxon's were planning to assassinate her husband so that the kingdom might fall to ruins. Each thought left her more on edge. Time seemed to slow as she waited for Aly to share the true news with her, time that Guinevere knew the Saxons were well using to their advantage.
Nothing, however, could have prepared her for the news that was delivered. "Helena!" Guinevere exclaimed, then fought to keep her body and voice under control. Her initial reaction to the words kidnap were to rush from the wall straight to her daughter's chambers and surround them both with a hundred guards. But the wall would be more vulnerable that way. And a queen had to keep her composure no matter what the situation. Guinevere had been in far more dire predicaments. After all, the enemy was still on the far side of the wall, and Helena was still safe in the castle. "You are certain that this is their plan. That they did not perchance tell you these things to distract our attention away from the army sitting outside our gates?"
Guinevere reviewed the rest of Aly's words in her mind. She opened her mouth to reveal Helena's location - the girl was, to the Queen's knowledge - still safely tucked in bed where Arthur had left her less than an hour ago, but she stopped. "I will take you to her, along with a member of my personal guard." Even if the location was obvious, she did not wish to speak it aloud. "Arthur must be informed of their intent as soon as we've ensured the Princess is safe," she told Aly, already moving to descend the wall and head back for the castle. "I will not keep secrets from him."

Aly waved her hands at Guinevere's explanation, looking around briefly to make sure no one had overheard. Fortunately, everyone's attention was focused on the Saxon princess and the large group of soldiers on the hill a little ways away. Crisis averted, she dropped her hands, trying to make herself appear more casual. The Queen was taking this remarkably well, much better then most mothers would. Allison assumed it was because the Queen had experience in battle and situations like this. "I am almost certain of their plans," She said. The source had admitted that it was more of a rumor then a fact, but it was one of the few viable explanations for the army.
"Precisely why we can't inform Arthur - he would be to distracted to lead properly." Aly paused for a couple of moments. "My source would not mislead us in this matter." Aly said confidently. She had to protect the source. If Arthur sent a large number of soldiers to guard his daughter, then Caetrin would realize that someone had told the British. Since the only one who could have done that was one of the siblings, Kendall's head would be on the line. And her head could supply Aly with very valuable information. Of course, she would have to inform Peter and the other spies of how she had gotten the information, but they were good at keeping secrets.
Aly's mouth twisted into a small frown at the mention of a personal guard, but made no objection. It would mean that discussing events with Peter would be more difficult. Following Guinevere quickly, making sure to keep pace, Aly shook her head. "Arthur can be informed when the saxons have left. You must understand - telling him be far more dangerous then not." She argued in a soft voice, aware of the persons nearby. "He'll be bound to overreact, send more soldiers then necessary to guard Helana. It will leave the wall weak, and leave it's people unprotected. Princess Caetrin will become suspicious as well - will become reckless if she thinks we know."

Guinevere listened to Aly speak as they headed down the wall and back toward the castle. She shook her head. "Arthur will overreact no more than I have. He is a stronger King than I am Queen. Do not underestimate our ability to put our people above ourselves, no matter how much we love our daughter. It would do her little good if we were to leave the wall unprotected. If the Saxons succeed at taking the wall, they would have little use in kidnapping my daughter. The wall is our protection, and as long as Helena remains on this side, she is safe enough." They pair entered the castle, where Guinevere motion to one of her sworn men. "Follow," she commanded, but indicated he should keep enough distance as to give her personal space.
Unconsciously, Guinevere placed a hand over her heart, as if the motion would steady the rapid beating that threaten to tear the muscle from her chest. No matter her noble words, she would die for her daughter. She would give up everything that mattered to her for her daughter. She would do anything and everything to ensure that her daughter was safe from harm. And, while her words were true in that her daughter was far safer with the guard manning the walls than surrounding her bedchambers, Guinevere couldn't guarantee that her comments about the people being first were one hundred percent true. She had a feeling that Aly could sense as much, and applied the same logic to Arthur.
Once they were enough into the castle, she revealed her knowledge. "Helena should still be in her bedchambers, where Arthur and I tucked her into sleep only an hour or so ago."

Aly looked disbelievingly at Guinevere when she said she could place the well being of the people above the well being of her daughter. Most parents, excluding her own, were willing to risk everything for the sake of their children. Allison was not the type to trust people's words entirely, but made no comment or argument about the Queen's statement. Perhaps they really were willing to make the sacrifice, though Aly would make sure the choice did not present itself to them. If the queen insisted on telling Arthur later, then Aly could deal with it then. She looked up when Guinevere commanded a man to follow her, eying him calculatingly. From what she knew, he was a loyal enough man.
"Bedchambers." Aly repeated, shaking her head slightly. "I should've guessed." She added half to herself in a rueful tone. As they walked through the castle, Aly left behind her a trail of water, causing a few rushing servants to skid and slip. She looked around, searching for Peter. He had to be informed of Helena's location if he was going to assist in guarding her. A few minutes later, Aly caught sight of the slight, browned haired man hurrying through one of the corridors. "Peter." Aly called, and he jumped slightly before turning around.
He strode forward quickly, carrying a bulky towel, which no doubt contained Aly's new knife and needle and thread. "I sent a message to Tom, but I don't know if he'll be back in time-" He stopped, realizing that the Queen was on the female spy's other side. "Oh, good'ay my Queen," He added quickly, bowing swiftly before taking the knife from the towel and handing it to Aly. She could see several snide comments on the tip of his tongue, but he settled before a quietly voiced, "Whose turn was it to play the sheath?"
"It'll be you in a second," Aly retorted, sliding the knife into the sheath strapped to her stomach. "She's in Helena's bedchamber." At Aly's now serious tone, Peter nodded gravely, retreating a few paces to converse with the guard Guinevere had chosen.

Guinevere felt a slight shift in power when she gave up her daughter's obvious location. Now that Aly, and now Peter knew, Guinevere had to hope that her trust in Aly was sound. She nodded to Peter as he approached and with her hand down at her side motioned her own guard to stay close. When Peter chose to occupy her guard, Guinevere pushed past them all, heading in the direction of her daughter's bedchambers.
She opened the door and slipped inside. Helena was still asleep, and Guinevere wasn't sure she wanted to wake the child. After their chat on the hillside the other day, Guinevere hesitated to further alarm her child with actions that made her previous words true. Instead, she peeked back into the hallway. "Aly, you must tell me more of this plan. When might they try this? Do you know how?" Guinevere felt like she needed more information to make a decision.

Peter talked quietly with the guard, gesturing with his hands occasionally. The conversation was unusually serious for Peter, who generally tended to be a leisurely and comical person. Apparently they were arguing over who had to stay outside and guard the room. Aly looked back at them for a few moments, mouthing to her fellow spy, 'Your outside.' He frowned, pausing to think it over, before rolling his eyes and nodding. He would wait inconspicuous outside of the room, keeping watch for any saxons. If he saw some coming, he - pretending to be a servant or someone of the likes - would drop a vase or plate, alerting Aly and the rest to the dangers on hand without making the saxons that suspicious.
At her Queen's question Aly leaned back against the wall tiredly, buying herself time to think. Could she trust the Queen with the sources identity? Guinevere might think that Kendall was simply blind sighting Allison, making it take even longer to convince her otherwise. She decided to stay quiet about from whom she got the information until directly questioned. "My source was unable to give definite answers, they were kept in the dark for the most part. But logically, Princess Caetrin would have to distract King Arthur, a decoy would be necessary. And then she, or some soldiers, would slip inside of the castle without being noticed and kidnap Helena under everyones nose. Probably within the next three days, most likely later tonight or tomorrow. I'm sorry I can't be more definite." Aly added quickly, rubbing her bad arm as she thought, waiting to see if Guinevere would allow her into her daughters room.

"We can't allow them to take her," Guinevere replied softly, trying to keep herself calm. She had half a mind to grab her daughter from where she slumbered and steal her away in the night herself, but the protection of the castle walls were far better than the roads. Even so, a part of Guinevere felt more at home in the forests than in the castle, and her instinct to retreat to the woods in a time of desperation was deeply rooted. She reasoned to herself that she couldn't leave Arthur - that he needed her and his daughter. She also reasoned he needed to know. "We have to tell him this, Aly. We have to tell him to be wary. He and the troops need to protect the walls and keep the invaders at bay, but he needs to know what he's fighting for," the queen told the other.

"We won't let them," Aly said, confidence evident in her tone. She actually wasn't confident, but wanted to sound confident for the Queen's benefit. It wasn't that the spy was lacking in faith, but she knew all too well that confidence tended to make you reckless. But if you lacked confidence then you could slip into the mind frame of, 'why bother?' which was almost as dangerous. And so Allison stayed mentally indifferent to the situation. Aly not could begin to comprehend the worry Guinevere must be feeling, unused to as she was in actual relationships.
Her eyes hardened when Guinevere said they had to warn Arthur. The temptation to slip into harsh, sarcastic, or patronizing tone itched the spy's mind and tongue, but she resisted. Even this situation she had to remain respectful to the Queen - if not more so if she wished to get her way. Aly sucked in a long breath, thinking. Her blue eyes drifted across the corridor, before fixing themselves emotionlessly on the Queen's. Releasing the breath, she said in a calm, reasoning voice, "Arthur is a king before he is a father. He should be fighting for his people, not fighting for his daughter." Her fingers started to tap against the wall, the only sign of impatience. "As I said, he'd be distracted to fight or lead properly. All his decisions would based on keeping his daughter safe - not what is best of Hadrian and it's inhabitants."

Guinevere could not agree, but held her tongue. She had told Aly earlier that both she and husband would put the people of their kingdom ahead of their own flesh and blood, but the words were so much easier to say than to actually follow through on. Deep down, in the place in her heart that was selfish, Guinevere wanted nothing more than to scoop up her daughter, run to her husband, and a find a way for the three of them to disappear into the night, back into the woods she called home. The people of Hadrian could be damned if that meant her daughter's life would be safe from all danger. The castle could fall if she and her family could find happiness in a small woodland hut.
But, Guinevere's sense of duty, compassion, and honor were strong enough to keep her composure and provide reason in the face of her wild emotions. Yes, the kingdom was important. Arthur was a king, she a queen, and Helena a princess all chosen by the people to provide them leadership, guidance and protection. She could not abandon her duty anymore than her husband could.
"I told you before," Guinevere spoke softly, each word carefully placed after the next. Her tone was flat as she held her emotions and fears at bay. "My husband would not risk the fate of his people so easily." Guinevere turned and poked her head into the door of her daughter's room again. "We are at risk here, and these kidnappers could already be in the palace. I will consent to keeping the message from my husband, but someone close to both situations must be able to look at the entire picture and be sure that we are making the best choices for the people as well as my daughter. How much do you think Arthur would risk to get her back if the kidnapping is successful? How worse do you think his choices will be if he has deal with grief and anger? And how much would he hate us if we failed to protect her."
Guinevere turned back to Aly, passion written across her face, command in her tone. These were her people, and this was her daughter and she was going to make the right choice and no one would stop her. Instead of speaking to Aly, however, she called on her personal guard.
"Marcus," The queen's voice rose only loud enough to cover the distance of the hallway. She did not wish to wake her daughter. "I want you to send word to Lady Marina of this potential kidnapping plot. She is not to tell my husband, however, I want her eyes and ears to assess the situation on the wall as well as the potential for these Saxons to find a way into the castle and send a report back to me on what she feels is the best move. With her guidance, we shall modify what we do here."
Marcus gave a quick bow and headed quickly out of the room, as Guinevere turned her eyes momentarily back to her daughter. "I will need to fetch my weapons. We will not leave her alone until the Saxons are long gone."

At the Wall ----------------- Marina jumped as a young man, appeared at Marina side, breathless. Her eyes narrowed and her tilted to the side as she listened to him speak, message from the Queen? The lady pushed off the wall, motioning for him to follow her, as she walked to a darker part of the wall, a place that had been abandoned for the time being. Folding her arms across her chest, Marina leaned against the wall, before looking to the man. ”Speak, I wish to here what the Queen’s message is, since it’s of utter importance.”
Marina narrowed her eyes as she noticed an exit out of the Saxon camp, to the far east; it was probably only visible from this post, she’d have to note that at a different time. For now, the lady was curious was message could be so urgent, that it would pull Marina into the shadows to hear the message, maybe the Queen had heard something about the Saxon. Possibly a plot to murder the King or something, you could never tell with them.

At the Wall
The guard quickly moved into the smaller private space, watching Marina's eyes as she swept the Saxon crowd. He, along with many of the other young knights, respected Lady Marina despite the fact that she was female. She had proven herself a noble warrior, and he'd decided he'd rather have a warrior woman back him up, than a weak man. Besides, all the knights knew the queen too was a warrior, and she was also well respected.
"The Queen bid me to bring you a message," he told her. "Queen Guinevere has learned of a plot to kidnap her daughter. Lady Allison is concerned that if the King were to be told he would risk the people's safety to protect the Princess. The Queen disagrees, and requests for you to assess the situation here - the potential these Saxons have of breaking in and succeeding at their task. She asks that you provide counsel."

Marina tilted her head to the side, keeping her gaze on the Saxon encampment, while listening to the man speak. Once the word, daughter, registered in her thoughts, Marina turned her head sharply, gazing at the man, her face blank of expression. The woman folded her arms across her chest, leaning forward a bit, allowing the wall to hold her wait up, as she racked her brain. Kidnap Helena? That was the last thing she had expected, truthfully, she didn’t think the Saxon’s were stupid enough to venture inside of the castle.
”The King must be told, if he finds out that they know, he could declare heresy, and I don’t think he’s that stupid.” Marina glanced over at the man, before standing straight, gaze following many different people as they scurried around the Saxon camp. ”The chance that any Saxon will get within these walls, are almost impossible. There are guards at every out post and door. Our best bet it to tell Arthur, and alert only the Knights of the Round Table.” [/size]

The guard nodded, "I was instructed to give you the message and return to Guinevere with your advice. I will let her know what you've said, or you can return to Helena's room with me and speak to her yourself. If you aren't needed here, I'd advice that. The Queen could use good counsel. I fear she is warring inside between her love of her daughter and her duty to her people."
The guard took a step backwards, then shifted his body in the direction of the palace. He only awaited Marina's decision before he headed back to his Queen.

Marina directed her gaze to the guard as he spoke, as her different options ran through her mind. She could go and speak with Guinevere, but anything was liable to happen at this point. Or she could stay and watch Arthur anger the Saxon’s even more; sighing softly, Marina followed the guard as he began to walk towards the castle. ”I’ll go the Queen, I’m not too apt for watching Arthur anger the Saxons furthermore.”
A few minutes later, Marina pushed the doors that led to the hallway, open, holding them long enough for the guard to scurry through. The lady nodded curtly to the other woman, Allison was her guess, before turning her attention to Guinevere. ”You requested my counsel, M’lady?” She inquired softly, hoping that the trio wouldn’t awaken Helena. After Marcus the guard left, Guinevere turned to Aly, "I will make a quick trip to collect my weapons. You and your man stay here to guard the door until I return." With that, Guinevere hurried through the castle corridors hoping to reach the weapon's room and return before the situation changed. She was none too keen on leaving on her daughter at all, but only a short time had passed since she'd left her husband on the wall with the Saxons and she didn't think they'd breech the walls this quickly.
Reaching the weapon's room, she dashed for her bow and quiver. She slipped her leather harness over shoulders and buckled the strap at her waist. Her quiver fit nicely on her back along with her bow, and the were pouches at the waist for a few daggers. Long ranged combat was unlikely in the hallway, but Guinevere didn't feel safe without her bow, which could still take down someone approaching from below a window. She tied a sword to her waist as well - the weapon likely to be the most useful during the potential attack. Finally, she clipped a small dagger onto the inside of her boot.
Guinevere quickly made the return trip back to Helena's bedchambers. When she arrived, Aly and the guards were still awaiting her. Silently, she slipped into the bedroom and sat down just on the edge of her daughter's bed, where she watched her sleeping. The child looked so innocent, so young, so beautiful. Guinevere felt herself anger at the thought that anyone would want to take her beautiful young girl. While the political side of her recognized the huge asset that Helena was for the enemy, the mother in her couldn't comprehend why anyone would drag a child into such a mess. She hoped that she would never have to do the same to any Saxon children, but accepted, deep down, that war brought different rules. Leaning over, she gave Helena a soft kiss on the forehead, then rose from the bed and headed back out of the room.
Her timing was excellent. Marcus was returning from the wall with Marina as Guinevere stepped outside the bedroom doors. She softly pulled the door closed behind her, then stepped forward to greet Marina with a hug. "I did, Lady Marina. I trust that Marcus told you of the kidnapping plot. Aly can fill you in on more details, but I am undecided as to the best course of action from here on out. I think Arthur needs to know. If something goes wrong and he finds out we did not tell him, he will be angry. And he might be able to provide better support for protecting Helena. Aly, however," Guinevere motioned to the spy, "disagrees, for reasons that are no less valid. I requested your counsel to aid in the decision."
Guinevere glanced at Aly, "I also think we need to move Helena. Her bedroom is such an obvious location for her to be in. There are plenty of other rooms in the castle that would be easier to guard and harder to reach."

Aly's mouth twisted into a frown when Guinevere called upon Marina to supply council. As a rule, spies prefer to share information with as few people as necessary. Enough so if one person dies the information is lost, but no more. The more the information was spread out, the higher the chances were of it being leaked or it being heard by the wrong ear. But it was only one other person, and so Aly closed her eyes briefly and took a breath. When she opened them, she was once more calm, collected, indifferent. Except for the barest hint of a frown around her mouth. Aly nodded as Guinevere said she would get her weapons, glancing at Peter as she left.
Peter walked quickly over, asking as he did so, "Tell me what happened." The conversed for the next five or so minutes, in hushed, quick voice. At one point, when the female spy revealed the source, Peter said aloud in an astonished tone, "Kendall?" Before Aly poked him in the chest and said a harsh, "Shh!" She summarized most of the incident for him, though stopped short when Guinevere arrived at the hall. Peter and Allison continued talking was Guinevere went into her daughters room, although there was a harsher, more agitated tone to their quiet voices as they argued.
She was in the middle of gesticulating a point when Marina and Guinevere entered. They're voices died for a second time, Peter retreating a few paces. Aly's expression was collected, almost apathetic. However, there was a slight tightening of her jaw that betrayed her impatience and irritability. Allison was not entirely sure how much Marina knew about her, if she knew that Aly was a spy or not. "I've been informed, by a reliable source, that the saxons plan to kidnap Helena. The source was unable to go into specifics, but I believe the army is simply a decoy to distract King Arthur. Princess Caetrin, or perhaps some of her guards, are likely planning to slip by the guards. Probably later tonight." Allison summarized quickly, wanting to petition her side of the argument. "It is not in the Britons best interest for Arthur to know. He will be to distracted to properly lead his people or fight. All of his decisions would based on keeping his daughter safe, not what is best for Hadrian and it's inhabitants." Her voice, crisp and articulate as usual, took an a persuasive quality. Her hard blue eyes were fixed on Marina's. "I will say it again, Arthur is a king before he is a father. His people take priority."
At Guinevere's next suggestion, Aly frowned slightly, considering the possibility. She was already putting Kendall at risk by guarding Helena. Kendall was a valuable source of information. The spy did not want to risk that source any further. For a few seconds she remained silent, straightening and tightening the bandage about her upper arm. It seemed she would have to disagree with the queen once more. "We cannot move your daughter, at least not until morning. We would all be at risk if we moved her now, Helena would be especially vulnerable. Besides, Princess Caetrin will already be suspicious that Helena is guarded. Moving her would not only put your daughter at risk, but would inform the saxons that we knew of their plan. We are not endangering the source." Aly stated firmly, emphasizing each word.

Lady Marina pushed the oak doors open the led to the hallway, stopping for a few seconds to allow her eyes to adjust to the dim light that was put out by the torches. The hall way was quiet, and vacant, with the exception of Aly, Guinevere, Marcus, herself, and another man, who? She had no idea. As she made her way up to the group, she greeted Guinevere with a hug, before stepping back to listen to the situation. Marina folded her arms across her chest, her back to the door as she glanced over to Aly, listening to Guinevere. ”I think we should tell Arthur, and allow him to alert only the Knights of the Round Table. If Helena is taken, Arthur will be angry, he will be hurt, and that is when we need him the most. If he let’s anger and hurt cloud his thinking, when he could’ve known about it before, then we don’t stand a chance.”
Marina bit down on her lip, thinking to herself. ”It will be almost impossible to get in here. Arthur has already sent Lancelot to alert the trainee’s and other Knights. The castle will be on high security, surely Caetrin will know that?” But then again, if Caetrin used her army to create a diversion, all of the knights would be out on the battle field, and trainees would be at the wall, so it would be quite easy for her to get in and get out. Marina placed a hand up to her forehead, gently massaging her temples. ”If I had a child that was about ready to be kidnapped, I would want to know. If Helena is kidnapped, and this gets out to the public, the people of Hadrian will be in a uproar and that is the last thing we need.” Marina’s free hand slowly slid down to the hilt of her sword, as she waited for someone else to speak.
The next thing she knew, Marina found herself leaning against the wall, allowing the coldness to soothe her back, listening to the trio. Moving Helena would not be easy, but she would be safer whenever she was moved. If the Saxon’s did get in, her bedroom would be the first place they would check, they were smart enough to know that. ”The faster we get this done, the safer she will be, it’ll be hard, but it’s not impossible to move her.” Narrowing her brow, Marina turned around just in time to see one her servants come in, bringing her knives. Marina nodded her thanks before sliding the knives into sheaths that were tied near her sword; if she had to fight, she’d be prepared.

Post by caetrin on Mar 8, 2009 18:22:18 GMT -5
About 20 minutes after her little ‘chat’ with Arthur Late at night, Castle is starting to quieten down.
After her return from her little 'chat' with Arthur, Caetrin found herself with some of her most trusted comrades, trying to figure out the best way to do her mission and get out quickly. Caetrin traced a scarred finger over the castle blueprints, she had a way in, and a way out. The little spy had done a good job, on snatching the blueprints from the library somewhere in the center of the castle.
Stepping back, she slid her knives into the sheathes hidden by the folds of her dress, and wrapped a tattered cloak around her torso. "Adelmar stays here, do not attack until I give the signal." She said, casting an icy glance at her servants following her around busily. Caetrin brushed some dirt against her cheeks, she could get by acting like a peasant. "You. Go with him. You guys are with me." Caetrin said, pulling the hood of her cloak over her head, hopefully to conceal her identity.
The group slid out of the back of the camp, staying hidden in the shadows as they made their way to the eastern entrance of the wall, the entrance closest to Helena, or so they hoped. Coming upon the wall, Caetrin allowed one of her servants to light the arrow on fire, before releasing it over the treetops, that was the Saxon's signal. Within the next few minutes, the Saxons had already moved up the wall, some with bow and arrows, many of the arrows were fire ridden. Caetrin could hear screams and yells inside the city, smirking, as the guards rushed over to the main entrance; they were under attack, and most of the people had been asleep, or getting ready to fall asleep. "Come on."
Caetrin slipped inside of the castle, looking down meekly as knights and guards ran about. Two of her guards almost ran into some knights running about, drawing their swords; they slaughtered them and put the armor on. Peering around the corner, Caetrin noticed Guinevere, Marina, a man and a woman, and two guards standing outside of the Princess's room. Narrowing her eyes, Caetrin listened quietly; it seemed as if they were fussing; perfect.
The young girl slid an arrow into the bow quiver, nodding for the young man to her left to do the same. "On the count of three. One. Two." Caetrin cast a sideways glance over the man at her, to make sure he was ready, before whispering. "Three." Within a few seconds, the two arrows had met their target, sending them into a heap on the floor. By now, Guinevere, Marina, and the man and woman were alerted. "Drogic take the man. Elfiwi take the other woman. Leogid, take the Queen, and I'll take Marina."
Caetrin tossed the bow and arrow aside, and pulled her sword of it's sheath, holding it steady as she ran forward. The girl's sword met with Marina's, cringing as an metallic noise filled her ears. One of the men aimed for Guinevere with a shield, hoping to knock her unconscious, while the other tried to hit Aly with another shield, and the other tried to stab the man.
