Guinevere finished her duties for the day and thought it best to let Helena continue ehr little day nap. It was a beautiful day and as such she decided to go for a long walk in the woods, a place she and Arthur often when to when they wedded. She always found comfort in that place and it was their little retreat from anything else in this world. She moved about the great birches and inhaled the smell of fresh pine, the ground was moisty it must have surely rained not long ago, yet not much, more like a rinse that cleansed the land and nurtured it. She was wearing a light chestnus dress which hung only on her right shoulder arm, and had no more sleeves; it fell to the ground gratiously and had a golden-coloured gelt upon her waist. Her long dark hair was loosedly movign alongside her back as she walked on. She was in no hurry nor did she expect to come across anyone so she took this moment to enjoy her intrussion upon nature and spot all the beautiful and colourful wilf flowers she had not seen before or that were recently gracing the landscape.
She leaned forth to take in the fragrance of a beautiful red rose; it was Scarlett, a colour he enjoyed by far. Her boots lightly caressed the grass and moist ground as she walked on, jumping great logs or skipping branches and twigs as she moved on and immersed herself deeper into the thckness of the forest. She knew where she was heading off to, she could never get lost, not even if she tried. She grew up in the woods, Merlin taught her most things he knew, it was one of the reasons the Woad people were so dangerous to foreigners or newly settled travellers. Perhaps they weren’t the most hospitable of persons but who liked to have invaders on their mists? They were a war-people; they did not hesitate to defend themselves if their lives and land were threatened. But now, they were at peace with Arthur and his kingdom. Their marriage brought so many good things. But more importantly, it brought together two persons deeply in love.
And there she was, right where she wanted to arrive. There was a silver-like waterfall, the water cascaded freely like gorgeous diamons and the element was so pristine she could not help but to sigh in awe. She sat by a rock and slowly removed her boots, and placed them not to close to the water so that they would not get wet, then she slightly lifted the skirts of her dark dress and walked toward the edge of the water. She wanted to feel its coolness upon her feet. She walked a bit further but only just, enjoying the freshness it granted her and the light shivers in her body asit got used to the temperature.
She needed to leave the castle at times; having lived among the trees she needed their company, especially when she had so much free time. That day for some reasons he managed to do everyhting very fast, and no more meetings were held nor anyone requested to talk to the Queen. It was so good being amongst nature once again. She closed her eyes for a moment taking a deep breath as a strong wind blew upon her it was as if her father’s presence could be felt.
