Angliaterra was captivating. It was not the scenery she was usued to, for Rome was truyl enticing, but these lands had their glamour and the more she explored she more she came to realize such. Everyday she went on walks, trying to find herself. Every day a different path and though she mostly got lost for she had a terrible sense of direction, she either found someone to help her go back, or found her own way in the end. For some reason, she was naïve, she never felt scared when she got lost in these woods or muddy paths, she always believed she would be fine, and would eventually find her way back to her home. Getting used to different things was diffuclt, but it could be done. And since her duties were not that urgent, and she did not have to work for a living, she found much spare time. Yet she wanted to do something about such free time. She wanted to learnt o make crafts typical artwork done here. It would keep her busy, help her get in touch with the peple form these lands, and she would feel useful.
She did not like the life of a noble for what it offered, but for what you could do with that power, sometimes she wished she could make everyone happy, as difficult as that sounded. She had a generous heart which made it up to her occasional vane tastes in jewels and dresses. Her deep blue eyes looked about as she followed a road surely done by romans a long time ago, it was beginnign to diminsh by nature’s power and the several twigs and weed found in the land. She occasionally got the hang of which plans could heal and which could harm you, she began to discover garlic flowers by the delightful smell, and the itchy plants that could hurt if in touch with her skin, yet, nature had its ways so that whenever something harmful was nearby, the remedy usually appeared to be right next to it. She smiled as she managed to skip a great old log, she whodered how old that tree had been and why it had been knocked over, had it been a natural force? Or perhaps an army passed by at that time? She smiled, she had such a vivid imagination, which was what usually happened when you were a silent and shy person when in the copany of others, and your atterntion was constantly absorbed by your own mind.
She walked for a bit, looking around her and taking in the fresh air, although it rained much and the weather seemed harsh here, she did not completely dislike it, if only it was not so cold during winter. She disliked havign to cover up so much and she felt a slight pain in the joints of her knees and elbows, it had all started since they got here. She shivered lightly at the thought of the next upcoming winter, but she dismissed the thought the moment she spotted what looked like an abandoned watch tower. She examined it with full attention and stopped right in front of it. How long had it been there? Which culture builty it? So many questions, and though the smarter part of her asked her not to get any closer, she could not help buit t admire the archtecture. It was so different fomr what she was used to in Rome.
There was only one way to find out, she smiled, she looked from her left to her right, since no one was nearby they would not laugh at her foolishness. She moved toward the entrance, and wasw amazed at the fact she did not have to push too hard in order to open the beaten wooden door. She took a deep breath and then pushed it forth and entered the tower. She slightly winced at the sight of rats, but they soon exited the tower the moment she went inside. Nature had already moved along the walls and she could see weed and wild flowers spreading about. Yet no sign of who could have built this and why. She decided to follow the beaten stairs, perhaps if she reached the top she would know, plus she wanted to see the view form the very top. She was beginning to feel somewhat weary, what if it fell on her? She rolled her eyes at that thought and then kept on climbing the stairs, with the little light hat came from the way in and the occassional small window. She slipped slightly for some stairs were humid and wet, but she soon reached the top door and she pushed it. It would not open as easily it seemed, lucky for her she was carrying one of her several knives. She placed it upon the lock and with all her strenght she pushed, upon a cracking noise she watched the door squeal open. And she found herself upon the highest peak.
She felt a slight shake on the tower as she walked out, but she ignored it, it had been worth it for she had such wonderful views, she could see the hills and mountains from there, and such vast green scenery with so many kinds of trees. Surely there were many good things about living here, she just ahd to find them, at least now she had set looking for them.
