Jocelyn stared out the tent opening and watched as the snow faintly spilled from the dark clouds. She sighed and returned to her book. Her blue eyes drifted across the pages as she read. She marked her page and closed the book.She stood and set the book down on the bed. She slipped on her slippers and left her tent. She walked out of the tent and headed to the stables. She went over to Ebony,Kendall's dark colored mare and lead her out of her stable.She tied her to a post and grabbed a brush.She carefully and gently brushed the mare's coat then her mane. "I'll have you nice and clean for Lady Kendall when she rides today. Your coat shall shine in the dim sun and Lady Kendall shall praise you for your beautiful coat and mane." she murmured to the mare as she continued to brush the mare's mane.
She finished brushing Ebony and set the brush down. She smiled gently at the mare and ran a hand down the mare's back. She gently patted Ebony's neck before leading her back into her stable. She put a blanket on the mare's back to keep her warm before shutting the door to her stable closed locking it. She checked the stable to see if it was clean already and smiled. She walked over to the mare beside Ebony and raised a hand to the mare's nose. The mare sniffed and neighed softly at her."Hey girl,time to make you pretty. Then take you out for a ride with Kendall and Ebony. Would you like that?" she said to her mare. The mare neighed louder and she took that as a yes. She unlocked the door to her stable and lead her to the post she used for Ebony. She tied the rope to the post and picked up the brush used for the coat. She ran it down the back and sides of her mare gently. She murmured soft praises as she brushed her.
She put the brush down and grabbed the mane brush. She ran it through Dawn's mane gently and sighed. She looked over to the entrance upon hearing footsteps coming toward the entrance of the stables. Her blue eyes watched for the person but they drifted back to her mare's mane. Finished with the brushing she patted the mare's neck gently and untied the rope from the post. She lead Dawn back to her stable and checked it to see if it was clean. It was and she smiled. She lead Dawn into the stable and took the lead rope plus the halter off. She closed the stable's door and locked it. Her eyes drifted toward the entrance to see if the person was there but her eyes did not stay there for long.
