Galahad cursed loudly as a loud twang filled the air. He pulled one hand away from his bow as the string broke, snapping through the air and barely avoiding taking out one of his fingers. With an annoyed grunt Galahad turned over his bow in his hands examining where the string had broken. After a few moments he sighed and thrust one point of his bow into the ground in frustration. That was the second string he had broken in just as many weeks! So much for the new bow repairer that had just arrived at the fort, he was bloody hopeless! Galahad hated having his weapons in disrepair and took pride – just as all the Knights did – in making sure each of their weapons was in the best possible condition.
Well, if the bow repairer at the fort was clearly hopeless Galahad was going to go ask someone who actually knew how to fix a bow! Running a hand through his dark curls Galahad picked up his bow and readjusted the quiver thrown over his shoulder and headed off to find Avina. If anyone knew about mending bows it would be her.
