Aurelia gave the reins a gentle flick, before leaning forward, giving the dapple gray mare a gentle pat. Calaini had been a great companion, especially on the long, hard trip from Hadrian's Wall, to Rome. The Roman Princess had been asked to visit Hadrian's Wall, on Arthur's behalf. The Saxon attacks were growing worse, and there was a possibility that he would need soldiers stationed there, Roman soldiers, if they were available. Any other time, Aurelia would have given Arthur her answer then, but Hector had remained in Rome, and she had been unable to talk to him. A few minutes passed before Aurelia glanced over at her guard, Drako, before turning in the saddle, to look back at her convoy. They were all happy to be back in their native land, and away from the snow and cold in Britain.
She pulled both ends up of her lips up into a smile, giving a sigh of content as a warm breeze passed by. It only took a few more minutes before Aurelia had arrived at the royal stables, and pulled the horse to a stop, before dismounting. Reaching up, she gave the horse a loving pat, before handing the reins to a young servant boy, telling him to make sure that she was taken care of. Lifting one hand to her neck, she gently massaged it, before walking out of the stables, through the royal gardens, and into the palace. Everyone had heard that the Princess had arrived, and the corridors were bustling with people scurrying around, going on with their daily lives. Aurelia gave a curt nod to the officials before heading to her quarters.
As soon as she had pushed the silk fabric hanging in the doorway (acting as a door) aside, Aurelia gave a sigh of relief, noting that the room was empty. It was nice to be home, with her family, and Hector. Walking into one of the corner rooms, Aurelia grabbed an royal blue stola, and an gold pala, laying them across her bed. Slipping out of her current stola and pala, Aurelia washed her hair, face, and body, before changing into the clothing that had been laid across her bed. Turning around, Aurelia added some fibulae onto the stola, before pushing the golden bangle up to her left bicep. A few minutes passed, before she slipped some golden ear rings into each ear, and allowed the golden necklace to rest upon her neck.
Aurelia gave her long dark hair a quick brushing, before pinning a few strands back, and placing the golden crown, decorated with golden leaves, on top of her head. She finally felt as if she was presentable. Stopping by a stone table, Aurelia grabbed a few letters, shuffling through them. Turning on her heel, she stepped out of her quarters, and headed to a stone balcony that overlooked the balcony. "It's nice to be home." Aurelia murmured softly to herself, leaning against the balcony, reading through the first letter.

Hector was in a rather foul mood. His men knew that when the Princess was away he was a terror to deal with. He had only stayed behind because he was in the midst of training new men for the Roman army. He was the commander after all and he couldn't just up and leave without leaving others in charge. Plus he trusted that Drako would protect Aurelia with his life. So he had stayed behind worrying but keeping his mind slightly off it as he was training those around him. He walked in between sparing pairs. He corrected posture and style with a few of his men while others he took the sword from and told them to go sit down and watch what was going on. He was a patient commander save for when Aurelia was not around.
He was very upset as nothing her had gotten from his sister eased his mind. The Saxons were building up which meant that things were getting a little too heated in Briton. He was not liking it and he knew he had to be ready to aid Arthur whenever he chose to ask for the assistance of Rome and its Army. A direct request form Arthur and Aurelia would have him stop what he was doing and come to aid on a moments notice. He was brought out of his musing by a pair of fighters. ""No no not like that." He said with a rather stern tone was he walked over to a young recruit who was having trouble with his sword play. He grabbed the sword away from the young man and looked it over before handing it back to him with a nod. "Swing it at the air as if someone was attacking you." The recruit did as he was told. His swing could improve but at least now Hector knew the weight of the sword was not the issue. He gave a nod to the elder solider who was training with him to attack again. He shook his head. "No" That was wall he said.
He unsheathed his own sword and attacked the elder soldier. The other barely had time to react to his commanders attack. He blocked the blow with his shield just in time almost losing his footing. "You alright Mitus?" The other nodded his head as he regained his breath and composure. Hector turned his attention to the recruit. "You must always be ready for such an attack. Your enemy will not be kind on the battle field." He gave a silent command to Mitus and watched as he attacked the recruit. The recruit blocked falling to the ground but found his way back up to throw an attack that almost caught his elder off guard. Hector let himself smile giving the two a nod of approval and going back to surveying the others. He looked at another recruit who seemed to be having trouble holding his sword. He went over and looked it over. "A slightly lighter sword would improve your ability. You do well with this but it is too heavy for you. Look into something lighter. Because it may just save your life." He other nodded to him as his elder attacked him and they were at it again.
He heard the word commander from behind him. One of his men ran up to him informing him that the Princess was back in her castle walls. He gave a small nod and walked off the training field. He found one of his men to take over while he went to welcome Aurelia home. He knew that it was not exactly proper to do but when he saw her he would be slightly easier to deal with. He walked up towards the castle and found his own way to her chambers. He made a light tap of his boot at her door so she would know that it was him. He'd wait for her to invite him in. It would be very improper if he did not allow that.

After the long and perilous journey, it was nice to be back in Roman territory. Although Aurelia did enjoy some of her trips to Hadrian's Wall, Rome would always be her ultimate home. She had been born and raised in Rome, not to mention the fact that her mother and Hector were there. Then there were the winters in Britain. They were cold, harsh, and there was almost always a good, thick layer of snow on the ground. Aurelia just wasn't made for that type of weather. She was used to the sun, and warmth from the Mediterranean Sea. Either way, after a few weeks of staying at Hadrian's Wall, she was home now, and couldn't have been happier. Sure, she had enjoyed seeing Marina, who just so happened to be Hector's sister, and Guinevere. But in the end, it was always Hector and her family that she wanted to see.
Aurelia had a duty to her people though, and trips to Britain were required. As an ally to Arthur, she wanted to make sure that she was doing whatever it took to protect the people from the increasing Saxon attacks. This time, she came back with a request from Arthur: he needed more soldiers stationed at the borders. The attacks were getting worse, and he needed him soldiers to train. After Aurelia had read the first letter, from one of the Roman officials, she allowed her gaze to wonder. Blinking, Aurelia gazed at the white sand, and the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. She could hear the metallic sound as swords clashed, no doubt coming from the Roman soldiers training. Peering across the stone wall, Aurelia watched as Drako headed towards the training ground – most likely to tell Hector she was finally home.
If she had, had her choice – Hector would have gone with her. But it wasn't like he could turn on a whim, and Drako wasn't that bad. He protected her and Livia, and that was what she wanted from him. Giving a soft sigh, the Roman Princess lifted her hand, running it through her hair, before sliding the first letter to the back of the pile. Lifting a brow, Aurelia tilted her head to the side as she recognized the dark red wax seal – it was from Marina, or somebody underneath the famed lady knight. Propping her elbows ontop of the wall, Aurelia leaned forward, as she read the letter quietly to herself. Lady Marina had been in a brawl with the Saxons, but her arm was pretty bandaged up. Marina also wrote of the dire need for soldiers, how Livia was doing. She also wrote of plans to travel up to Rome, and how she hoped to see her soon.
Pulling her lips up into a slight smile, Aurelia shook her head to the side. Marina was a tough lady – of course she was going to be okay. But the worsening attacks bothered her tremendously. A few seconds later, she slid the letter to the back, before opening the other letter – one from her mother. Half way through the letter though, Aurelia heard the light tap of a boot outside of her door. Jerking her head up, she turned around, peering inside of quarters. ”Come in, I'm out on the balcony.” Glancing down at the letter, she finished it in a few seconds before looking up, watching as Hector entered her quarters, a smile playing along her facial features. She had missed him, after all, it had been a few weeks since they had seen each other. Hector was in more ways than one, like a best friend to her. He took care of her and protected her, and he was one of the very few that she trusted. Aurelia had also found herself falling in love with him, but was somewhat reluctant to act on it. What if he didn't feel the same?

Hector waited patiently to be invited in. He gave a head bow to a few of the guards that walked passed him but the let him be knowing that the Roman commander would not do anything to harm the Princess in the first place. There was an unspoken knowledge in the ranks of the army and in the guards that the Princess was spoken for. A few of the noblemen knew that unspoken almost law as well. However Hector being the man that he was would not ruin a pairing of political convience such as a treaty with another nation. That treaty of coures being achieved by the marrying of the Princess to one of their Princes or Nobelmen. However he would not like that one bit though he would stand by her side should it happen. He shook his head to bring himself out of his musing. His love for the Princess went unspoken even to her and at some point that was going to have to change. He just wasn't sure how to say it without making things awkward if she did not feel the same for him. He didn't want to ruin the relationship that they did have. He was a rather complex man when it came to the Aurelia. Otherwise he could be considered a rather simple man with knowledge to command and run an army which in itself was probably complex as well but it didn't matter.
He finally heard her voice. It was soft as a breath of wind but there was concern in it. He entered her room with a looked that spelled out concern. However he held himself with pride and dignity because even in the midst of crisis he would not show weakness. It was just not like him to do so. He'd gotten a letter from his sister the other day that made him want to go on a killing spree and it almost had him on one until Mitus bless his soul calmed him down with a quick round of sword play in the arena. It had calmed the Roman commander enough to have him at training today. Drako and Mitus were his two best men and Hector would do anything for them as they would for him really. His brother Maximus of course would do the same for his brother and was of course a trusted comrade. He however let his brother lead his own little group of soldiers but they all reported back to him. They were his generals and they had proved themselve time and time again. Mitus was actually the oldest of the group and he took pride in taking orders from someone younger them himself. It made Hector in a sense feel good. He shook his head as he moved over to stand across for Aurelia.
"I am glad you are home my Princess." There was a bit of an emphasis on the my but nothing that would give away more then his feelings of being her best friend. They had been best friends for a long time now and needless to say he loved her with every fiber of his being but previous stated concerns plagued his thoughts and actions. "What are your concerns my Lady." He knew full well that she was worried. There was no hiding that from him. He took an almost protective stance as he glanced at her. The sun lighted her features so magnificently. It truly did take the Roman Army Commanders breath away but even that he tried not to show. There was some serious business to attend too. He was going to make her feel right at home. He almost wanted to move in to hug her but that would be something that would give things away as he never too the initative to hug anyone and that included his own sister whom when he saw her again would probably throw his arms around and she'd probably get very upset with him and scold him for being an over protective brother. He couldn't help it after all. He was the man of their house. [/blockquote] note: sorry for the shortness but he wanted to get down to business.

Aurelia read Marina’s neat hand writing, repeating the words over and over in her head. ”Attack, injured, bandaged, soldiers.” There was no doubt about in her mind: she was going to send soldiers - that had already been decided. If something bad happened to Marina, or any other person Aurelia cared deeply for, because she had failed to send soldiers, she would never forgive herself. Marina was like her adoptive sister, literally. The two girls had known each other every since they had been small children. Marina’s mother was a lady in waiting to Laelia, and whenever Marina’s father passed, the Tertius family moved to royal palace. Aurelia eventually lost contact with the Tertius children for over fifteen years, whenever they all went to train as knights, Marina included. Sure, she would get the sporadic letter, but that was it. She had not only lost her adoptive family, but also her real family. Fabius had been slain in war against the Macedonians, and Cassius passed away from fever a few years later. Aurelia was only nineteen at the time, and had lost almost everything that mattered to her.
A few years later though, things were starting to get better. Although the conditions weren’t the greatest, she had a baby sister. Aurelia had also found the Tertius family once again. They were a prominent family in Rome, and Aurelia had nothing but fond thoughts of them. Marina, Maximus, and Alexandria, the youngest of the family, were like her adoptive siblings. Hector, well, he was a different story. But things were finally back to normal, or getting there at least. Blinking, Aurelia turned her head, looking at the door at the sound of a light tap. It was Hector, no doubt. He was the only one that really knocked on her door like that. Most people barged in, or hit the door extremely hard, usually the latter though. It was interesting how he always popped up, whenever she needed him. And this was yet another time whenever she needed him. After reading the letter from Marina, she was feeling overwhelmed, and a million other emotions that she couldn’t exactly pin point. She was tired of the war and fighting, and everyone getting hurt.
Then there was also the fact, that there was a good possibility Hector would be going to Hadrian’s Wall. That depended on if he wished to stay with Aurelia though, and there was no way she was going to encourage him to leave, not after she had just gotten back. Tilting her head to the side, she murmured a soft acceptance at his request to enter, her voice laced with concern. Instead of diverting her attention back to the letter, Aurelia was as Hector entered with a look of concern playing upon his facial features. Aurelia the soft sigh of happiness that escape from her lips; she was just glad he was there. She was going to even try to hide her worry from him – he could read her like a book. Either way, he would take care of her, and they would figure everything out in the end. That was how it always worked. Aurelia folded Marina’s letter, before sliding it behind the letter from one of the Roman officials, watching as he stood in front of her.
”It’s good to be home. I’ve missed Rome.” Aurelia said, silently adding a ‘and you’ to the end of her statement. Giving a soft sigh, the young lady lifted a hand, rubbing her neck, before glancing down at the letters, before looking back up to Hector. ”I just received word about Marina’s attack.” She was assuming he already knew, if not, he knew now. Aurelia paused for a second or two, before continuing on, ”Arthur wants more soldiers stationed at the borders. And I haven’t opened the letter from Laelia yet.” Aurelia said, giving a huff, after voicing her three main concerns. Walking towards Hector, she gave him a warm hug – he may not be the hugging type, but she was, and that was exactly what she needed at the moment. ”I’ve missed you – next time you are coming with me.” Taking a step back, Aurelia looked up at him, giving him a slight smile.

Hector had gotten word of his sister's injuries and the attack two day ago. It had taken Mitus all his might to keep his commander in check. He's stopped training early because Hector would have gone on a rampage had he not. Mitus let him drink or rather got him to drink a bit and by the time the drinking was done and Hector was sobering up he was alright again. Least alright as any overprotective brother would be. Hector was seeing red that day. No one attacked his sister and got away with it. He'd have those men and women hunted down and killed. He was sure however that his sister would get angry at him if he acted irrationally. He was grateful for Mitus being the fighter and mentor that he was. He was grateful to have Mitus behind him. There were many others out there though that were starting to try to push him out of his command. It wasn't going to happen. Not while his men viewed him as a good commander. Sure he had their faults and weaknesses but what man did not. A soldier with nothing to protect did not fight with all his vigor and was only fighting to save himself. It seemed wrong and did not suit well with a Roman soldier. As a matter of fact it had not set well with the Sarmatian Knights either.
He knew some of the Knight and Sarmatian soldiers still held a bit of a grudge to the Romans for putting them into slavery to fight for them. He could see why and held no grudge to them for disliking. As a matter of fact her knew his men were hothead because so was he. Though he new how to keep his mind calm in the processes of crisis and avoided fighting and used it as a last resort. It was a strange concept to some of the men that had served under the previous commander and still more were trying to get used to it. If fighting was not needed then it should not be done. He was not losing his sister or brother to the Saxons. He was also sure as hell not going to let down Aurelia. He'd already in a sense lost her once. Things were just getting back to the way they should be. He knew she viewed his siblings as siblings of her own. Though he was not sure where he stood with her. He knew where she stood in his heart though. However at the moment at hand the Saxons needed to be put down. They needed to stop attacked innocent people and they all needed to make a stand against them.
There was rumor that a Saxon was actually allied with Arthur. He was surprised at first like most of the others but understood where she was coming from. If Arthur trusted her then so could he he figured. Arthur was a great commander and Hector would make sure no harm came to him either. He shook himself mentally to deal with the issues at hand. He was never one to just intrude on Aurelia and he was angered at those how had no dignity to knock before entering. She was a lady after all and one did not barge in on a lady. Once he finally did get to her and she looked up from her letters he knew she could see his concern. There were not many people he showed the look too. Mitus had seen it because he respected Mitus a lot and his family and Aurelia. They were also the only ones to be able to read the Commander like a book. Others he liked to keep in general mystery of him. It just worked out that way too. Whatever the issues that were plaguing both is him and Aurelia's mind they would fix it that was just how things went.
He gave Aurelia a soft smile as she said she was glad to be home. "I am glad you are home and out of danger." It was rare for him to show his tender side but the Princess Aurelia had always brought it out of him. Maybe just maybe it was time for him to confess of his feelings. It was just he did not want to ruin what they had. He didn't want to ruin any chance of her being able to protect and serve her people either. He was rather conflicted with himself and it had always been that way. He laughed at himself. His man saw him mostly as a strong commander. He was virtually weak less and he could make sure they all got home and they knew he'd grieve if they died and they'd be given proper burial. One woman could bring this seemingly weak less man to a lob of muss and mixed emotions. On the joys of the love of a woman. He truly did love her.
She went on to make mention of his sister. "Yes I know she was attacked. Ask Mitus how I was the other day when I got letter not in her own writing." He shook his head and recomposed himself so that he wouldn't go off the rocker again. "It made me anxious even more so for your return my Princess Aurelia." He was slipping. He usually did not call her by her name. He usual never used her title before it either. The words my were almost always emphasized but it was a little more so now. He took a deep breath and as she hugged him he couldn't help but hug back. She let go of him and took a step back with a smile. His own smile grew brighter. "Might I suggest you open the letter from Laelia. There may be more insight and we can go from there. I have no problem sending Drako and a few other soldiers to be stationed at the borders to help out." It was true he had the option of going out there as well. However there were still more to train and he needed to be here for that. On top of that Aurelia was here and he wasn't leaving her. "As you wish Aurelia the next time I will accompany you." That was all her could say as he moved to hug her again. "Together there is no crisis we can't logically sit through and find the proper was to resolve to the best of our abilities. He loosened his hug to look her in the eyes with a mix of love, passion, and seriousness in his own. [/blockquote]

Aurelia could only imagine how Hector and Maximus felt after learning of their sister’s attack. Aurelia was only a close friend, and she was ready to go and murder some Saxons by her own hand. Hector and Maximus were her brothers – the men that were overprotective, a little annoying, but loved her none the less. Aurelia and Marina had spent many a nights sitting around the fireplace, as young children and talked about brothers. Aurelia only had one brother, Fabius, and he was slain and perished in war against the Macedonians. She could still remember the day whenever Drako rode up with her brother’s galea with the bright red plumes, or in other words, helmet, covered in a gold silk cloth. The grim look on his face had told her something bad had happened, and whenever he presented her with Fabius’s helmet, she felt as if her world was falling apart.
A short while later, Drako brought her father back to Rome. He had also been gravely injured, but the gods had spared him. It was a time of bittersweet celebration for her fathers return, but it was also a time for mourning. Laelia had locked herself up in her quarters; Cassius was recovering, so that only left Aurelia. The young Princess, only sixteen years old at the time, was the only one left to lead her people. She remained strong in front of her fellow Romans, but things were a different story behind closed doors. Not only had she lost her brother, she had also lost her best friend. He had taken care of her whenever Laelia and Cassius were away on diplomatic trips. Aurelia was the one he had turned to, whenever, he butted heads with Cassius on what was better for the people of Rome. And now he was gone for good.
So yes, during Marina’s rants about her siblings, Aurelia had always been the one to gently to remind her to be grateful. At least she had siblings that were alive and well, and cared for her well being. Moments like this reminded Aurelia why she hated the Saxons with a fiery passion. They were just a group of people that killed innocent people, and did whatever they could to wreak havoc on the rest of the people. Well, most Saxons were like that at least. There was one at Hadrian’s Wall, Alowyn, who didn’t seem all that bad. She was a fallen Saxon Princess, you could say. Her father had been the king of the Saxons until Cerdic had went, murdered his own brother, and then took the crown for himself. Typical Saxon behavior, in Aurelia’s eyes. As far she knew though, Alowyn had taken up arms with Arthur.
The Saxon had promised to help Arthur defeat Cynric, seeing how she knew battle tactics, and their weaknesses. In return for victory, she wanted her crown, and promised to end the bloodshed. Arthur was smart, and he wouldn’t have agreed to the plan unless he thought it could actually work. Aurelia didn’t necessarily agree with this bargain deal just yet, but if Arthur trusted her, then so did she. Aurelia lifted her head, watching as Hector walked into her room, giving a slight smile. It was nice to hear him say that he was glad she was home, and actually mean. Many of the Romans were glad she was home, just because she was their Princess and future Queen, whenever she decided to marry. But then, there were a handful of people who just wanted her home because they didn’t like the fact of having to wait for her to return before the council could review the non sense laws.
Aurelia paused for a moment, before voicing her opinions, watching Hector. So, he had already found out about Marina. ”That bad, eh?’ Aurelia asked softly, before continuing on, ”At least she’s alive – it could have been much worse.” Aurelia said, making a mental note to thank Mitus whenever she saw him next. She was thankful to have Mitus around, especially whenever she was in Britain. He was a well respected man, and had a tendency to make sure Hector had a clear head whenever she was gone away on her trips. A few seconds passed, before Aurelia repeated his words in her head. He never called her ‘my Princess Aurelia’. He usually called her by her first name, simple as that. Maybe he felt the same way about her, as she did him? Wouldn’t that be nice! Or maybe he had just missed her? That sounded more promising, even if she was completely in love with him. He was the main man in her life.
A short while later, the young woman moved to give him a hug, enjoying the closeness. Geez, she really had missed him, and he must have missed her to, because he hugged back. Stepping back, Aurelia smiled at him, with a sparkle in her eye. Glancing down at her letters, Aurelia back up to Hector. He had a point – Laelia might have important information, or information that would just waste her time. Either way, there was only one way to find out. ”Okay, fine.” She said giving a sigh, before opening the letter, and leaning against the balcony, reading it quietly. Once she finished reading, Aurelia looked up at Hector, a blank expression on her face. ”Read it.” Aurelia said, handing it to him, before moving to her bed, sitting on the edge. Laelia had wrote to her once again, claiming that she had found a suitor for her, and that it was time for her to marry. ”I don’t need my mother’s help finding a suitor. I can find a suitor on my own, & anyways, I’m doing just fine without a man who is only in it for money and title.” Aurelia said, rolling her blue eyes. Whenever she had gathered to courage up, she was going to actually tell Hector her feelings, to see if he would have her.
Standing up, Aurelia walked back to him, calm after her mini-rant. Aurelia wrapped her arms around him as he moved to hug her, allowing her head to rest on his chest. Tilting her head back, Aurelia found herself staring up into her eyes, fighting the temptation to kiss him. A few seconds later, she leaned forward, while everything in her brain yelled no, and her heart screamed yes, and brushed her lips against his.

Hector knew that his overprotectiveness of his siblings bugged them. Especially Marina at times. He couldn't help but want to protect the only female of his family. As a matter of fact he was the exact same with with Aurelia and her sister. They were family to him and God be damned if he would let some Saxon hurt and or kill them. However, he was beating himself up because Marina was far away from him and was attacked. He could not stop it and it bugged him. His blood boiled each time he thought of it. Max has told him it was not his fault trying to calm him but that didn't help and it took all Mitus has to get him to calm even in the slightest bit. Marina would tell him the same thing that it was fine. Still he felt like a failure in some sort of way. He took a deep breath and his mind went to the day that Aurelia lost Fabius. Hector had not been able to comfort Aurelia when that happened. He had not even come back when Aurelia's father was brought back to Rome. No he was like any soldier. He was fighting to keep his own life and protect others. He'd been wounded but that had not gotten to Aurelia until he himself has told her. He was perfectly fine by then. Still the labors and wounds of war never left anything good. Fabius had been a friend and a brother. Time healed some of the wounds but it didn't ease the pain once it was thought about again. He took a deep breath. This was not the time to think of such things. If he did he might have to be drinking again. He had to hold his own composure and he had to be strong in the face of Aurelia. He was sure she knew he was human but in his station he could not falter at all. He was grateful for Aurelia being such good friends with Marina. It was what kept his dear sister sane. He knew she ranted about them but he also knew that Aurelia reminded her how much they loved her. Max was as protective of his older sister. However Hector had them both to look after. He trusted their strengths and their weaknesses to lead them through. He was the eldest and he had to protect them. Sure he could get overbearing and he could annoy the heck out of them but he did it out of love and everyone else seemed to be able to show them that. He closed his eyes and calmed his mind completely take the stance of a military man in the presences of those he loved dearly. The stance that came out only when he was around Aurelia and his siblings. It was a stance that was reserved for them and it allowed them to know that he was there to talk and not to order around. He was more at ease and he was easier to deal with. Mitus had seen the stance once but that was out of pure respect for the older man.
He nodded his head when Aurelia made her comments about Marina and his finding out. "It could have been but I don't want to dwell on that. It makes me feel like I've failed her in some way. I know I haven't and I know she's strong and she could probably beat me but still I"m her older brother and well..." He shook his head and then doing the oddest thing yet leaned against her window with all air of being a soldier or man of status. He was acting like a normal regular every day person. It was the first time he had shown this side of him and well for one he was completely surprised that he was doing do. He felt safe in a sense with Aurelia there. He was hoping for year that she felt the same way about him as he did her. However he kept it locked inside of him like he was still doing. She was a Princess there were certain things of station that needed to be done. However she did have the right to choose her suitor.
He waited for her to read the letter for Lealia. He knew it very well could be something stupid but it was best to work with all the cards on the table just in case. Aurelia's expression had him only a bit worried. She was blank which meant that the other had probably written something either stupid or well extremely serious. He took the letter from her and his eyes went wide. Could Laelia be any stupider. There was no way Aurelia would look at the men that were proposed. Not at all. Aurelia did not need to marry yet no way no how. He put the letter down and recomposed himself as he noticed he had a rather angry look on his face and his blood was again boiling. It might have just been the fact that now he was betraying his feelings but he could not bare to think of Aurelia's own mother trying to marry her off without first allowing Aurelia to make her own choices. He shook his head and nodded as Aurelia said she didn't need the help. She was right though. Most men that wanted her hand in marriage wanted it for the title. They had no idea the tenderness of the woman before him.
No none of them knew her like he did. He would never care about the title as a matter of fact that title never came into his mind unless he was being pure military and in station man. No she was a lady and she deserved the proper amount of love. Those men could never understand her like he did. He took a deep breath and composing himself once again. This was a lovely mix of emotions he didn't know how to deal with. It was things he'd never felt before and yet had laid dormant within him. Then suddenly to him she was walking up to him. He gave her a soft smile and it grew bigger as she wrapped her arms around him. His arms did the same thing. It was a rather intimate embrace for the two of them and his mind went completely blank save for her. His hand stroked her hair as she lay her head on his chest.
He looked down upon her into her deep blue eyes and got completely lost in them. He was fighting the urge to not just take her in the ways of kissing and caressing. He could fight it, that was until her lips brushed his and he pulled her into a passionate kiss half realizing and half not realizing what his brain was tell him to not do. However his heart and love for her was taking over and over power his rational portion of his brain. Not that he couldn't be rational. He pulled away from the kiss for only a moment to catch his breath. He had no clue how long they had kept into their kiss but however long it was the magic and her lips sweet taste lingered still as he caught his breath and began to breath again. "Oh Aurelia..." That was all he could say. He never once let go of her and he hoped that the passion he felt was from her as well. They had just taken their whole relationship up to another level. [/blockquote]
